Badflower bring the "No Place Like Home" tour to the Aztec Theater in San Antonio, Tx 10-17

Updated: Oct 21

Badflower made a stop in Alamo City with just a handful of dates left on the No Place Like Home tour. Slothrust and Austin Texas's own Missio would come along for the ride.

Missio (often stylized MISSIO) is an American electronic alternative duo formed in 2014 in Austin, Texas. It currently consists of founding member Matthew Brue (frontman/songwriter/producer) and David Butler (songwriter/producer). The music is a mix of alternitive and synth-pop with just a touch of rock leading to a unique sound.

Up next was the alternative / grunge rock band Slothrust. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts they brought a heavy grove-filled set including a cover of Britney Spears "Baby One More Time"

Badflower would finish up the evening with a killer set of both old and new that had the crowd singing and dancing along to every word. Originally from Los Angeles the band is composed of singer/guitarist Josh Katz, lead guitarist Joey Morrow, bass guitarist Alex Espiritu and drummer Anthony Sonetti.

Badflower have been hitting the road hard for years now and they definitely deserve the success and recognition they are getting now. The music is a mix of heavy deep, emotional songs and fun straight-up alternative goodness. The band was super tight and a complete joy to watch perform, mixing up silliness with seriousness. Badflower would perform an 18 song set. Yes, 18. It was a good night filled with great music.
