Nita Strauss brought The "Summer Storm" tour to the Rockbox in San Antonio Tx, there was no rain but there was a lot of amazing guitar playing courtesy of hurricane Nita herself. Support on the tour will come from LIONS AT THE GATE, the new band featuring former ILL NIÑO members Cristian Machado (vocals), Ahrue "Luster" Ilustre (guitar), and Diego Verduzco (guitar), alongside bassist Stephen Brewer (WESTFIELD MASSACRE) and drummer Fern Lemus who delivered a killer set of groovy heavy tunes.

Nita Strauss would take the stage like, well ... a hurricane, commanding the attention of the crowd with her dynamic presence, neverending hair flips, and extraordinary guitar skills. Nita would be touring in support of her new album "The Call of the Void "which was just released on June 7. This new offering is quite different from the 2018s "Controlled Chaos" which is all instrumental, this new album has a star-studded selection of guest musicians onboard.
David Draiman, Alice Cooper, Alissa White-Gluz, Lzzy Hale, Chris Motionless, and Dorothy would all share guest vocalist duties on Call of the Void.
Nita's set would be a nice mixture of selections off Controlled Chaos, "Alegria", the super shredder "Lion Among Wolves" and" Mariana Trench," and a sampling of tunes off the new album including Dead Inside, The Golden Trail, Wolf You Feed, Victorious, and Through the Noise. All of these songs would be performed by Nita's awesome touring vocalist Kasey Karlsen who did a great job filling some pretty big shoes. The show was a clinic in guitar shredding and musicianship which Nita and her killer band certainly showed everyone how it is done. As a parting gift, the band played Panteras"Cowboys from Hell" which is always a good idea when in Texas.
